🗂️ Dashboard Tabs
This is a single-page dashboard with a Sleep In Report Latest Data Sync indicator at the top showing when the data was last refreshed.
- Number of sleep ins — a headline scalar showing the total count of sleep-in shifts matching your filter selection.
- Number of sleep ins by employee — table listing each employee's
Employee ID,Full Name, andNo Of Shifts, sorted by shift count (highest first). Useful for spotting who is taking on the most sleep-ins. - Number of sleep ins by location — table of
LocationandNo Of Shifts, sorted by volume. Useful for comparing sleep-in demand across sites. - Summary Table — the detailed shift-level list with
Employee Number,Shift Employee Full Name,Location,Shift Type,Start Date,Start Time,End Date, andEnd Time. Sorted by shift start time, then employee name.
All counts and listings exclude shifts attached to an absence period, so cancelled, on-leave, and sickness-linked rows don't inflate the totals.
🎛️ Filters
Standard Filters
These filters appear across all Reporting Suite dashboards:
- Location / Parent Location / Grandparent Location — filter by organisational hierarchy
- Full Name / Employee ID — find a specific employee
Report-Specific Filters
| Filter | Default | What it does |

| Division | -- | Limits results to one or more divisions |
| Area | -- | Limits results to one or more areas |
❗️ Important Definitions
- Sleep-in shift — a shift flagged as a sleep-in on the roster. These typically cover overnight cover where the employee is expected to sleep on site and be available if needed.
- Absence exclusion — shifts that are linked to an absence period (for example, where the employee was off sick or on leave on the planned date) are excluded from every card. Counts reflect sleep-in shifts that actually went ahead.
❓ Common Questions
Why is an employee missing from the breakdown?
The employee-by-employee table only includes rows where a named employee is assigned to the sleep-in shift. Unassigned or open sleep-in shifts still appear in the total count and the Summary Table, but won't show up under a person's name.
Why don't my totals match the roster?
The Sleep In Report excludes shifts tied to an absence period, and only counts shifts flagged as sleep-ins. If the roster figure includes absences or non-sleep shift types, the two views will differ.
